March is a month full of remakes at Horror Press, which means this month’s giveaway will certainly be an unabashedly, universally loved, critically received remake that every reader of HP can look forward to having in their collection, right? In our pursuit of horror remake excellence, we scoured the internet to find everyone’s favorites. We checked Reddit, Instagram, and even Twitter. It’s hard to pick just one because there are so many remakes that horror fans love; we simply couldn’t make a selection.

Just kidding, it seems like the internet hates remakes. The moment one gets mentioned you all go rabid faster than Cujo on a hot summer day.

So instead, we just opted to do the next most toxic thing: pick a movie that many cannot decide if it’s a proper remake or a sequel. I’ll give you a hint, it’s a remake, don’t @ me. That movie is Evil Dead (2013).

For this month’s giveaway, we have a copy of Evil Dead (2013) waiting in our dusty old basement waiting to be shipped to a reader’s home. If it’s covered in blood, don’t worry about it. Let’s just say our trusty boomstick had to be put to good use to ship it to you. Anyway, Evil Dead (2013) is a movie that holds a very special place in my heart, personally. So I’m hoping this movie goes to an extra special fan who can appreciate the truly underappreciated final girl that is Mia. Yes, Jane Levy is a final girl.
