Like a good man, you can’t keep a bad clown down. Especially when they’re unkillable and possibly demonic.
The streaming service Screambox, in association with the site Bloody Disgusting, snatched up the exclusive distribution rights for Damien Leone’s project back in June. And today, they have graced us evil clown fans by releasing the Terrifier 2 trailer we’ve been waiting for and giving us a better sneak peek at the truly Terrifying film on the horizon.
The trailer mainly confirms what teasers have promised us; with improvised hairspray flamethrowers, rusty tools for hacking and slashing, and blood everywhere, it’s going to be another complete Mill County Massacre as Art clashes with a final girl he might just meet his match with.
Releasing this Halloween, Terrifier 2 picks up a year after the original 2016 film left us, with the enigmatic Art now terrorizing a new mark after torturing sisters Tara & Vicky, with Tara dead and Vicky now insane. Our hero this time around is the costume-clad Sienna, and her Art obsessed brother Johnathan. Director and writer Damien Leone promises a wider scope for the sequel, along with a more character-focused story surrounding Sienna who he says is “[his] favorite character that [he’s] ever written”.
Terrifier 2 will be released in theaters, followed by its streaming release exclusively on Screambox.
