The Brooklyn Horror Film Festival is back and bolder than ever for the event’s 10th anniversary. This year’s festival runs from October 16-25, with all screenings taking place at Nitehawk Cinema Williamsburg. Tickets are on sale now, and fans are encouraged to buy passes early before they sell out.
Brooklyn Horror Film Festival Unveils Full 2025 Lineup
This year is special because the Brooklyn Horror Film Festival will host a special screening of Tales From the Crypt: Demon Knight. In addition to celebrating the 30th anniversary, they will also honor the legendary director Ernest Dickerson with the Leviathan Award Ceremony. Dickerson will also be on hand to introduce Def by Temptation, a seminal Black horror movie from 1990. Dickerson was the film’s Cinematographer before he went on to direct movies that became horror staples.
A few other titles we’re excited to see in this year’s Brooklyn Horror Film Festival lineup include:
BOORMAN AND THE DEVIL

A sequel to The Exorcist, a.k.a. the most successful horror movie ever released upon its 1973 release… What could go wrong? As this hilarious and insightful documentary details, damn near everything for director John Boorman’s infamous 1977 disaster Exorcist II: The Heretic.
DUST BUNNY
New York City Premiere

A precocious young girl enlists the help of her next-door neighbor to kill the monster under her bed who took her parents.
THE CREEP TAPES, SEASON 2 (First Three Episodes)

Our favorite murderous filmmaker, Peachfuzz, is back with the first three episodes of the highly anticipated The Creep Tapes Season 2.
MOTHER OF FLIES
East Coast Premiere
USA | 2025 | 92 Min. | Dir. John Adams, Toby Poser, Zelda Adams

QUEENS OF THE DEAD

A group of drag queens and party goers must fight for their lives when the zombie apocalypse interrupts their warehouse party in Brooklyn.
It’s not all screenings and games at Brooklyn Horror Film Festival, though. Blerdy Massacre (hosted by moi and Xero Gravity) will be recording a live podcast episode. Aside from returning as a sponsor this year, Horror Press is also presenting the Slayed Sidebar. So, no one will go thirsty on our outlets watch.
Sounds to me like the Brooklyn Horror Film Festival might be the event of the Halloween season. What do I know, though? You can look over the full lineup and snatch tickets now. Keep up with the fest on Bluesky, Instagram, and Twitter.
Let us know if we will see you at the 10th edition of the Brooklyn Horror Film Festival! We’ll be at the Slayed Sidebar hydrating for science.
