Oh, Bruce. Where would horror be without you?
…Bruce is the name of the shark from Jaws, so fun fact if you didn’t know that.
Many people, including myself, had their interest in special effects piqued by the toothy, high body count lone predator that was that great white shark. We owe a lot to Spielberg’s most chilling creation (assuming you don’t have a phobia of E.T.).
On the other hand, I never should have given our editor James the idea to rewatch the Jaws films, because a suspiciously malicious shark is now terrorizing the rented boat I’m on near Asbury Park. Now my impromptu booze cruise is a “there goes my left leg” cruise.
I should have just stayed in Jersey City.
He says he’ll call the overgrown fish off if I tell you all about the next Horror Press Contest, which is themed after cinema’s greatest predator.
